Sweet Mia!
Little Mia is perhaps every newborn photographer's DREAM baby. She was sleepy, curly and SMILEY! It was so sweet to witness the love between mommy and baby.

I'd share more, but... you'll just have to wait for the new site! Coming VERY soon! Finally!

little photog - Kansas City, MO Newborn, Baby, Child & Family Photographer
I have a 'togstar on my hands. Annabelle is completely rocking the polaroid lately. It happens to be her daddy's old polaroid camera - she's all about the immediate gratification.
"Mommy," she says, "let's take pictures together." And we go outside, and she stands on the sidewalk, telling the pool across the street to "saaaaaaay cheeeeeeeeese!" (I cringe slightly at this, because never have I told anyone to say cheese. ::::shudder::::) And then after every frame, she pauses, takes a look and say, "I LOVE this picture!" Spoken like a true photog.

Fun times.

I love her curiosity. There is nothing more delightful than watching my little Annabelle take hold of an interest, especially one so dear to my heart.

Three Babies + Family: Kansas City, MO Baby, Child & Family Photographer
I've been waiting to share new sessions because I keep hoping the launch of my new website and blog will be imminent, but alas - it's not. Not yet, anyway. So here is a peek at a session I did recently with a family of five! Three little baby sweetpeas, just after their six month birthday - with their lovely parents.

Small Surprises - Kansas City, MO Family Photographer
"Mommy," she says, "I go play in my room. You come find me." When I go in search of my little Thumbelina, she quietly giggles and talks to me from the hamper, telling me if I'm hot or cold, to green light! go, or red light! stop. Until eventually she flings open the lid and says, "Ta DAAAAAAA! I got a surprise for you! It's ME!"

And when Daddy comes home, they run around the yard, him in his polo shirt and she in her Elmo underwear, the two of them laughing and tumbling and chasing a tireless Sadie... until it's time to go inside, and she tells Daddy "Ohhhh, do I have a surprise for YOU! Lean down, Daddy!" And she climbs onto his shoulders, and she rides contentedly into the house, telling him, "I on your shoulders! You get to hold me like a precious little girl!" Yes, he says, you are my precious little girl.

MMMMM! Fresh Connect KC: Local Organic Goodness. - Kansas City, MO Photographer
As I've mentioned before, our family LOVES the sweet start of spring and summer season for many reasons, but one of our favorites is the availability of local, fresh farm produce. We often trek to weekly farmer's markets and u-pick sites that allow us to enjoy the abundance of fresh fruits and veggies that are available here in Kansas City. We love supporting our local merchants and we've found an excellent way in which to connect with the farmers of Kansas City: Fresh Connect KC! They literally bring the wholesome organic produce directly from the fields to our front door.

Our first delivery was this past weekend and we could not be more pleased. I ordered the small fruit bin for $25 - somewhat astounded that it includes all taxes and fees - and we waited with anticipation to see what would show up at our front door.
Is anything more gorgeous than fresh fruit from a late spring harvest? The strawberries are directly from Kansas City, and I can't wait for local blueberries next week! Kevin Glaser is the owner of Fresh Connect KC, and he personally rang our doorbell and delivered the yummy goodness into our (happy!) hands. If you order the veggie box, every single veggie is directly from the fields in and around Kansas City.
Thumbelina actually suggested I take a picture - and she arranged the fruit below (hence why the bananas are on their side... the creative genius of a three year old!).
Here is what was in our box, for $25, all organic and some local:
1 pint strawberries
1 bananas
4 apples
5 oranges
5 pears
6 kiwi
2 limes
2 avocados
MMM! So good. Do yourself a favor and sign up for delivery here. They have lots of different options to fit your family's needs!
